Good course that takes a deep dive into the know-how of using content as a marketing tool and establishing brand and authority by using proper methods of content writing and following SEO guidelines.

There are so many podcast recordings, but they need to have transcripts. How would Deaf students engage with this material? Accessibility matters here.

Great course, give you essence, but i think that this should be already updated. Time is passing and reading material from 2016 is little bit outdated.

It would be ideal if we had more visuals during the videos to highlight the main points.

It would be great to have video lessons instead of podcasts.

The course was great but the peer review process is bogus

The course started off strong, but by week 4 lost focus. Too many different downloads and readings that didn't always practice what was preached. I wish the course instructor was a bit more involved in assignment feedback. Feedback from peers was ineffective and did not offer direct insights into my writing and how to improve. We have all paid for this course and want to be here to learn, therefore it is hard being the grader as well. That was not a task I signed up for. Grading another participant seems unfair since I do not know them nor their skill level.
Overall the course had some great creative writing guidelines. I do feel my writing and process has improved, but did not get that direct feedback that made me feel accomplished. Also, the assignments need to outline the directives much better. With all the detailed reading assigned, the assignment directions were lacking the same detail. Ms. Simone put this out into the ether and should circle back and support her creation as she has tasked us to!

Unfortunately following this course from the mobile application is nearly impossible, since almost every content is in the downloadable materials which is not reachable from a mobile phone.
Besides, the submissions are missing a rubric, which would be helpful for understanding what do they expect from the learners, unfortunately the misunderstanding resulted in very diverse results among the peer-reviewed submission.
Moreover, having peer-reviewed submissions may not be the best way of getting grades, since it seemed like leading to cultural differences: even if the written feedback was "everything was perfect", some peers gave 0 points, and there was no way to flag the reviews and have it checked by a professional.
Many course materials had nothing to do with the assignments, so it was great to listen to the calming voice of Sonia and it was a good addition to your general knowledge (and the ebooks are great!), it would be useful to have them in line with the assignments.

This was a very insightful fundamental course in enhancing copywriting skills. The course was very generous in giving materials and it certainly equipped with a lot of knowledge in learning content strategy.
However, I find the peer-review assignment that are supposedly workshop-based to be quite challenging particularly in understanding the content mapping strategy. Still, after understanding it in more detail, I learnt its importance and it is definitely a practice I will implement in future projects.

Honestly, I received the course for free so I can give my non biased opinion. If you're a newbie it's okay as an introductory course. However, it won't give you the "How to" instructions. It will tell you what you need to do and give a passing reference to others. You will have to do a lot of research and reading on your own. Again, you can do that on Google or their website. It's your decision if you want to pay for it.

Needs to look into the issue of podcasts. The attachments are no more visible. The Instructions to download attachments are outdated. Some questions are very subjective, try keeping the questions extremely objective for a medium like this.

Quite literally the worst course of all time. I really tried to enjoy this course. I poured time into and read the readings but I've just come to the conclusion that you can live without it. A complete waste of time done by Sonia Simone who just can't wait to provide and bestow gargantuan and colossal praise on her lord and savior, the king of content marketing himself Mr. Brian Clark!
My god that was dreadful, he's a man with a blog that Jesus on a surfboard. Not exactly the gold standard for unique individuals. But this is not hate for Brian, he seemed like a normal person in the dreadfully boring podcast sessions that you'll be required to sit through.
For a course that talks about engaging your audience they sure did their best to make it as bland and unoriginal as it could have been. Please do much better next time. You have a good base, just a flat out terrible way of executing.

The trainers are very knowledgable, and there is a lot of information to go through. There are some interesting principles but you can find them on the copyblogger website. They are the only positives. The course is poorly laid out, jumps around from one topic to another. The whole thing is very subjective. There is a lot of waffling, and a lot of podcasts to get through. The assignments are very poorly explained, with poor materials. The brief would often not align with the scoring criteria. This is clear when reviewing my peers work, and most people including myself would misundertand the brief with various interpretations. It was frustating that assignments were only reviewed by 2 people that also likely didnt understand the brief either. It was very confusing. I do not recommend this course.

Good: Exclusive Learning Materials and Assigments that ensure you have a foundation for writing persuasive and actionable content. Bad: No flow to learning experience. Videos don't have guest lectures, you must go on an easter egg hunt for the mp3 that complement them and they aren't available on the mobile version. No teachers available, so don't expect feedback on your work. It's blind leading the blind in this course. If you are a self-learner, it's perfect. If you need training wheels, this might not be the best course for you. I highly recommend this course for his content but I strongly discourage it for learning. This course is basically and interactive library, not a classroom.

I really wanted to like this course and thought it would teach me some new insights. While Sonia Simone is a engaging teacher, I was disappointed with the overall course content.
The course is very time consuming and the podcasts plus the readings (several e-books per week, sometimes as long as 142 pages) are not accounted for in the time pad. Making the time needed to invest, much higher than expected.
The assignments seemed difficult compared to the level of the course materials, and it seemed like a lot of students (on the forums) were struggeling with the assignments as well.

There is definitely some good information in here, but it's not presented in a clear and concise way. The course is actually taught by CopyBlogger, not UC Davis. Many of the lessons are podcast format interviews, which are hard to follow and contain lots of fluff. The reading material is just repurposed CopyBlogger PDFs, which, again, aren't clear and concise. The material in this course could have been condensed to probably just 1 week's worth of real-world applicable material. There are other marketing courses on Coursera that are a better use of time.

Dated content from 2016. Readings were a bunch of pieced-together old copyblogger blog posts. Repetitive rehashed content used for muliple "lessons". No "instructor" interaction. Discussion boards unmoderated and riddled with spam. "Peer"-reviewed assignments process does not work. You get what you pay for ( it's a free course). This class made me feel taken advantage of and sad. Just say no!

Soporific. Podcasts are dry and sound like drawing room conversations. Insipid presentation with fewer real life, market situation example. Some of us who have enrolled into this course are working individuals and after the end of a long day of meetings and endless droning by team members, bosses and clients, having to hear dry conversations as podcasts dressed as course material is a bummer.

This course was average. The first 2 weeks were great. Somewhere along the course, it was almost all podcasts. Not a very effective tool if we had all signed up for video tutorials. There were also a lot of readings that were averaging 40+ pages. Could be better.

Sonia Simone is a fantastic teacher and I adore her voice, Her voice is calm and very easy to listen to. The things that bother me in this course is the pages that you have to read and all the podcast that you have to seek and look for before you can continue.

a. I wish the podcast could be seamless integrated in the learning process. *Looks like it is not empathetic to users.
b.TLDR. A lot of materials, from the blog or pdf, just wayyyyy too long and not to the point.....Give me some examples....

Why use a podcast to explain the most important part of the MOOC and make an assignment based on that?

The content of my name on the certificate has a font error. Although I try to fix it, it is the name on my goverment issued-ID so it can not be done. My name is Trịnh Ngọc Quyên (which is the name appear on certificate). My name in Vietnamese has some of special symbols. As a course for global students, choosing a font that cannot be used for Vietnamese makes me find it extremely difficult to understand. My certificate does not look professional at all. I am very angry, I want to ask to change the font. Please choose fonts that are suitable for all countries, please.

Only one star due to the fact thatand the content ioutdated, I don't know Trom -which year this course is from, since this doesn't fall under the "generall information", but I suppose it's 5-10 years. A lot of reference, sites, links are not working. And I fear that twitter isn't a platform for social networking as dominant as refered to. Sorry, but marketing, especially content marketing is a very dynamic and fast changing niche. It needs to be up/to/date in order for learners to get a value for their money, in this case.
